Get Your Car Serviced Before July 4

This year’s July 4 holiday will be one of the biggest in the nation’s history. As everyone knows, a global pandemic just about canceled last year’s festivities, so this year, people are anxious to get things back to normal with picnics, fireworks, and trips to the seaside (it’s a bit of a long drive from Somerset, WI, but some will go for it). With all these festivities comes a lot of car travel, and here at Miller Brothers Auto Repair in Somerset, WI, we want everyone to have a safe and happy holiday. The best way to do that is with a pre-holiday car check-up that will give you peace of mind on the roads.

Check Your Tires

Making sure your tires are in good shape is key to your safety on the roads this July 4 holiday. We here at Miller Brothers Auto Repair can check all four of your tires for wear or damage, but you can also check the wear yourself. Grab a penny and put it between your tire treads. If you can see the top of Honest Abe’s head, your treads are worn and your tires most likely need replacing. If that is the case, we can work with you to find the right tires for your car and budget.

Inspect The Brakes

Before July 4, you’ll want to make sure your brakes are in excellent shape. If you’ve heard squeaking or squealing, your brake pads or shoes might be in trouble. Before the holiday weekend driving, have us take a look at your braking system and we can walk you through any needed repairs or replacements. Driving with bad brakes is majorly unsafe, and an accident could ruin an entire July 4 weekend.

Check The AC, Too

July 4 is definitely the hottest holiday of the year. With all the car traveling we will be doing over the weekend, you are going to want your car’s AC working in tip-top shape. If you’ve noticed it either isn’t working, or it isn’t blowing as cold as you remember, it is probably time for an AC tune-up from Miller Brothers Auto Repair. Don’t be hot this holiday weekend!

At Miller Brothers Auto Repair in Somerset, WI, we hope everyone has a safe and happy July 4 holiday weekend. Before you hop in your car, even if it is just to drive around the corner to the neighborhood picnic, make sure it’s in working order with a car check-up from Miller Brother Auto Repair. Make an appointment!
